@Humwichawa: Heiligen actually means Saint's too, not really Holy Ones (although in a way it's the same thing ...)

Well, thinking of the title Relics of Death, I find myself thinking of something that belongs to the personification of Death (a.i. the skeleton with the hourglass and the reaping hook)... have we ever heard anything 'bout a religion in the wizarding world? Surely they must have atleast had one at one point... perhaps that plays a part in who becomes a ghost and who doesn't?

I think that the "relics" from 'relics of death' defines the term horcruxes. Horcruxes hold the fragments of Voldy's soul and relics are remains or fragments of something like a souvenir/ memorial (dictionary.com) / AKA Voldy's trophies (horcruxes)

I know that this is probably going to be pointless, but I might as well post it anyways...

What if Deathly Hallows does not only mean one thing, but two? It could be both Halloween (which is apparently deathly in the wizarding world, with all the deaths that have occured on it), AND whatever the relics are.

I wonder what the "relics of death" are. Too bad we can't ask the publishers. Tongue

I suppose they could be horcruxes... But "horcruxes of death" just sounds weird. Plus, aren't horcruxes supposed to give the caster a new life? Well, that life does come into play after death, I suppose...

^^ Horcruxes are supposed to give user more or longer life. ^^
But you have to kill someone to make a new horcrux.
So it is like the leftovers of that persons death.
I pretty much agree with the fact that "Deathly Hallows" refers to the veil in the DoM or whatever is behind it. I can't wait to find out!!!! Only like less than twenty days!!! Very Happy
